![]() Secondly, rich snippets help search engines understand your web page and have more information about the content of your page. For instance, when a user searches for a review of a device on Google, the user is naturally drawn to results with rich snippets.Įven though the results with the snippets are not in the first position, most users would want to click on it because it is visually appealing. However, it does have some advantages such as increasing search visibility. ![]() That is, it won’t move you from position 8 to 3 on search result pages. Benefits of Adding Rich Snippets to WordPressīefore listing the benefits of enabling this feature, we will like to point out that rich snippets will not directly increase your ranking on SERPs. It only makes your site ready and gives Google more information about your page. So configuring rich snippets does not guarantee that you will see them on your sites’ listing on SERPs. Note however that Google ultimately decides whether or not to display rich snippets for a page or other content. Using a rich snippets WordPress plugin, you can easily add structured data to your site without writing any code. Structured data is a piece of code you add to your website to aid search engines in displaying more information about your web pages. To enable rich snippets on your sites’ listing on search engines, you need to add structured data to your websites’ backend. These extra details can improve your click-through rate (CTR) on search engine directories. Most of the results ranking for that keyword includes additional information such as rating on the Search Engine Results Page (SERP) as seen above. To illustrate how it works, let’s say you type “recipe for chocolate cake” on google search (I mean, who doesn’t like chocolate cakes?). Rich snippets allow search engines to communicate with your sites’ backend and pull out the extra information. When enabled, you can add details such as rating, votes, price range, and any other information you specify. They are ideal for special schema types such as reviews, recipes, events, etc. Rich Snippets provide a means to add extra features and information to your website’s listing on search engines.

Gomm pointed out that while Up Park Camp was an ideal location for a barracks, it was subject to the ravages of yellow fever. The idea of the hill station was first raised by Gomm in a letter dated Apto Governor Sir Charles Metcalfe. Gomm, a veteran of the wars against revolutionary France and Lieutenant Governor of Jamaica from 1840 to 1841, relentlessly badgered the War Office in London to establish a mountain station for British soldiers in Jamaica soon after taking up his post. The product of the IOTP will be an ethical and robust Officer who has the knowledge, skills, attitudes and intellectual agility to adapt their decision-making process and approach to any environment. The expectation is that on commissioning, an OCdt will be fully cognizant of the responsibilities and personal conditions that being an Officer imposes upon them. The course structure allows the Instructing Staff to educate, build, develop and scrutinize an OCdt’s ability to decide and communicate accurately and ethically while under pressure and or stress. The course focusses on developing military skills and command with a leadership ‘golden thread’. Having the RMAS approach to training at its core, IOTP is designed with a syllabus that sees male and female integration throughout training. The methodology used addresses each issue directly and the course, through the delivery of a bespoke training syllabus, is fit for the JDF and is also relevant to the militaries and organizations within the Caribbean region and in other parts of the world. Additionally, the ongoing expansion and restructuring of the Force to cauterize the ballooning threats to national security has caused an increased demand for newly commissioned Second Lieutenants.ĭue to the carefully adapted military and academic curricula, IOTP serves as the course to treat with the aforementioned considerations. The advent of COVID-19 added a new level of complexity to travel, thus negatively affecting the process of sending OCdts overseas. This is normally done at the Unit level and later, through a Young Officers’ Course. Upon the return of OCdts to the JDF, there is a requirement for doctrine and operating procedure standardization due to the varying concepts and differing contents of the training they had undergone. Traditionally, the Jamaica Defence Force’s (JDF) longstanding partnerships with militaries across the world has seen its OCdts being trained in academies in the following countries: United States, England, Canada, China and India. It was designed with the direct support and guidance of RMAS Instructing and Support Staff. The programme falls within the tactical level of the Professional Military Education (PME) framework of armed forces and is modelled from the Royal Military Academy Sandhursts’ (RMAS) Commissioning Course. The Human Connection is about the relationship I shared with Dad, and 2020’s Legacies feels like The Human Connection Part II because it contains a song or two about the relationship I have with my son, so it’s kind of come full circle again. 99% of the album lyrics are about Dad and growing up under his wing. So The Human Connection means more to you than the releases before it? With The Human Connection I had a fair bit to do with the music writing process, a lot more than with Ratio and Avalon. With 2006’s Ratio, half the songs were written for that EP at the time I joined the band, so I didn’t have a huge amount of involvement in the song writing except for the lyrics and most of the vocal melodies.
